Buddy Bat helps out at Krispy Kreme’s “Donuts for Turkeys”

Today, the Krispy Kreme on Bardstown Road held their second annual “Donuts for Turkeys” to help feed those in need this Thanksgiving. All morning long, frozen turkeys were donated to Krispy Kreme and in exchange everyone who donated received a free dozen donuts. All of the turkeys will be donated to food pantries, shelters and churches throughout the area,

With two turkeys in hand, Buddy Bat decided to stop by Krispy Kreme and help out a great cause.

While Buddy Bat was there, WDRB’s Keith Kaiser just so happened to be live promoting the event. Buddy then went on camera to express his love for turkey and explain that he is a mammal and turkey is poultry, so it’s not in any way weird.

The turkeys will be distributed in our area with the help of Kentucky Harvest.
